The Jefferson SPCA is a 501(c) 3 non-profit that was created to assist the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter, prevent cruelty to animals, and provide relief, aid, and adoptions for homeless pets. The Jefferson SPCA administers a very proactive spay/neuter program and provides heartworm treatments for shelter dogs that would otherwise be euthanized. The JSPCA also offers animal focused education programs through school visits and summer camps.
