Every shelter pet at Salt Lake County Animal Services deserves to rest their head on a clean and comfortable bed. Approximately 8,000 pets a year find themselves under our roof. As the largest, no-kill, municipal shelter in Utah, a pet may live in the shelter for days, weeks, months, waiting for their furever home. Salt Lake County Animal Services mission is to provide comprehensive service and care to the animals and humans we assist in our cities and townships.
